Must have been a reaction to the crash with his head.I remember a thing my sportsteacher told me, she fell on her neck and was able to only walk backwards for at least two hours.I once had a laughing flash after havening an accident nearly like hers.But if i remember well that player didn`t die because of that thing. It was just a reaction to the shock.

Looks like he took a hit to the head, his brain was knocked loose or something, and the rest was some random, involuntary action.
