everyone wants to look better than they do and nobody thinks they are perfect, look at it this way; you could be alot worse, listen to stereophonics - lying in the sun.. you will understand what i am saying, it will stop you feeling ugly, you could always look worse, at least you can see, hear, talk, all that sort of stuff, to show people your more then you look

My daughter is 6. She's biracial. Adult strangers & family members alike say that she should be a model. However, she is already crying after school when classmates say she's ugly or that she's adopted, etc. Simply telling her repeatedly that she's beautiful doesn't seem to be enough. I am so glad to see a media campaign to address this issue. By high school it may be too late for some girls.

Good lord, these girls are beautiful. They shouldn't have to deal with self-esteem issues... That's a shame.I've found that most of the time, the popular kids throw such insults because they're jealous.

I'm not comfortable with how I look even though I am in excellent shape. I would love to look and the mirror and smile.

I am a huge advocate of such advertisements... achieving beauty is really a lot easier than those girls think... simply because they already are :). Maybe if people put aside those concerns and start looking at the world around them, they will notice that there are a lot of larger scale problems in this world, other than being slightly overweight or not conforming to standards set by the ignorant part of society.

hmm. I agree that the people in the film are good-looking, but it seems like that's the point--as in, the ad is trying to show that images of 'perfect' people are so widespread in the media that even /attractive/ people can feel very flawed, or get picked on by others. |
