Had my previous Panny plasma for 5 years, no sign of any burn in. Just have to be a bit sensible about it!

mine is a 2008 panasonic plazma ,a bit different but its a 32inch tv that costs 1700bucks

I'm not worried about burn in that much anymore or Image retention. There's other things like dithering and video noise that i'm worried about. I pretty much want a plasma for Wii,PS3,360 and Bluray/Dvds and i honestly don't want to settle for LCD. And the question is 1080p or 720p? ones native and the other is fixed

Yes, plasmas are amazing while watching movies and other tv shows. I don't think you have to warry to mutch about "burn in" as long as you don't connect your pc to it. Of course you can set a 1 minute screensaver which will most likely reduce the problem.
