I now think that people in the Bush administration really do believe what they say and they are NOT lying and/or consciously being greedy and mercenary in their efforts and policymaking in Iraq and the War on Terror. They are confused and ignorant, but they are steadfast because they cannot see their own confusion and ignorance. Their greed and confusion are just part of them, part of their character, there's no unique connection to the current situation.

I learned from a conversation with a Bush supporter that, basically, "they" think that Iraq/War on Terror = WWII projected into the 21st century. They TRULY don't understand the many, many ways that the world has changed in the past 60+ years, and thus cannot factor those changes into their policy and leadership. It's strange but I think its really true.

this bastard has made millions on Halliburton stock options. He had 5 (five) Vietnam deferments (military service wasn't a priority). Finally, he said, quote, 'There is no doubt that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction', 'we would be greeted as liberators' and 'the insurgency is in its last throughs(sp?)'. In short, the man is a liar. Period

The only justification Dick Cheney gives in this piece is "I just fundamentally disagree". How many lives has Republican obstinacy already cost??? Vote those deluded F*scists out -- one more day to go!

Dick Cheney said, "...it may not be popular with the public, it doesnt matter..."Mr. VP, the opinion of the American public does matter!"Listening" is a valuable leadership tool that you do not have.
