Lance rode a rebadged Litespeed titanium frame that day it was not a Caloi, it was not a Merckx.

Argentin did not even finish the 93 worlds, so it would of been tough for him to pull on the brakes for the finish.

actually it was a titanium frame made in Tennessee according to BKW.

to be true it was a "Caloi Eddy Merckx"And it started as a Caloi, then Merckx started production. But who cares, caloi is not the same anymore, their best bike is an alumnium frame with Shimano Tiagra :(

He was riding a Motorola Merckx.. Even when the bike said Caloi in the years after this, it was still a Merckx frame made in Beligium.

it's cool to see Armstrong riding a Caloi Eddy Merckx, i think it's the first(and only) brazilian bike to win a world championship

Great ride. Impressive cancer survivor. Can't stand the guy.Afterwards former World champion Moreno Argentin said that he had not taken part in the sprint for 2nd (actually he said that he had "pulled on the brakes") because he didn't want to be on the podium with Armstrong. Yes, it might be a bad excuse, but it says something about the way he was viewed by some members of the peloton, at least. Unpleasant bugger.
