Great video...it's a shame the camera car isn't an F1 car because we never get a sense of how fast they were there...that F1 car is hanging way back to keep the VW suspension camera car in sight.

Actually a lot of the trees have been removed since this video. Also the surfaces have improved as the track has been planed level over many sections. No jumping now at either Brünchen or Schwalbenschwanz.It also has FIA-spec catch fencing all the way around now.

the course has about ten times more trees now than then. this was the time when f1 cars were still allowed, and you can see, if you compare it to newer videos that the asphalt was just *so* much better. Nice piece of driving!
