I've seen three or so Seger videos from this era, but none with Pep Perrine playing his legendary industrial-strength drumkit. The guy had twin elevated bass drums that he connected to big ol' duct piping, so they looked (and sounded) like cannons aimed at the audience. Pure thunder!

Awesome!! I have loved Bob Seger since I can remember:)My dream is to one day get to see him in concert. I have just about every c.d. that he has put out. There is no voice like his! I love you Bob:)

Yeah pa systems blew really hard in the sixties too, the beatles played a couple gigs using only combo amps for amplification.

rus2579, Of course it was lip sync. In 1969, no local tv show could put up any other kind of budget. Anyway, if you are questioning the authenticity of the fact that Bob Seger rocks, why not say so. i saw The System live in 1969 at Notre Dame High in Harper Woods who during said gig pretty much soothed our souls with close to the entire Tales of Lucy Blue album and certain select oldies like Heavy Music(search for that). Yeah well 40 years ago you had to do what you had to do.
